OLEAD will present a synthesis of alternative technologies to produce rapeseed meal in a workshop dedicated to rapeseed meal.
This theme follows a series of work that has been carried out by several teams of animal nutrition specialists in the United Kingdom using cakes produced by our pilot plant. They have given rise to several publications on the feeding of pigs and poultry. It will be noted that the impact of heat treatments on the availability of lysine has been highlighted. Animals receiving cakes that received moderate treatment are better used by animals including the absorption of phosphorus.
The presentation will identify the processes available and their impact on the quality of the cake. The interest of processes more respectful of proteins will be recalled and their feasibility will be evaluated.
