Seeds technology

Pellicules de colzaGoals: Dehulling of seeds is an operation consisting in ridding the seeds from their fibrous envelopes. It consists in dissociating the germ from the coat by impact and then separating the fractions by sieving, aspirations. Drying pre-treatment is a possible operation .

Typcial capacities:
Rapeseed, sunflower, soybean : 200 kg/hour.
Flaxseed : 70 kg/hour.
Seeds cleaning : from 100 to 300 kg/hour.
Drying :  batches of 1 to 2 tons.


Presse à granuler

Goals :Make oil available by flaking, pelletization, cooking, drying  and extrusion .

Typical capacities :
Grinding and flaking: up to 400 kg/hour.
Conventional cooking: 100 to 500 kg/hpur.
Pellet mill: 100 to 250 kg/hoour.
Drying: batches 1 to 2 tons.
Extrusion:  100 to 200 kg/hours.

Mechanical extraction (presses)

Goals : seeds squeezing for expressing their oil and filtration of that oil.Presse de 100 kg/h

Typical capacities :
Press OLEXA MBU 75: 150 to 500 kg/hour (according to the preparation and nature of the seeds).
Press MBU20: 100 kg/hour (cold pressed rapeseed).
Press OLEANE : 20-50kg/hour.
Presse Komet 3-5 kg/hour.

Solvent extraction

Goals : disolve oil in solvent, then remove the solvent from the liquid and solid fractions.

Typical capacities :
Belt extractor (Desmet Ballestra): 150-300 kg/jour.
Nutsche filtre (Guedu) : loads of 30 to 100 kg (solid).



Goals : remove undesirable compounds from oils to make them neutral, low- coloured and and deprived of unwanted flavours.

Typical capacities :
Semi-industrial plant: 1 ton batches of crude oil.
Pilot plant : reactors for 4, 20 et 50 kg.

Bench-top operations

Goals : processing at miniature scale for R&D and mini-production (extraction, cooking, dehulling).

Typical capacitiess :
Percolation extractor: 6L.
Nustche type extractor:  1.5 L.
